The Whittier Community Foundation was created in 2005 with a mission to support community services activities from the education and enjoyment of the greater Whittier community.

We raise funds year round through special events such as Dancing with the Whittier Stars, the Spooktacular 5K Walk/Run and our newest fund raiser the Whittier Car Show held at Parnell Park. We have formed valuable relationships with organizations including the Whittier Host Lions Club and PIH Health as well as businesses and individuals.

To date we have raised over $600,000 through private donations, grants and fundraisers. We are proud to have given back to our community in the following ways:

2010 Donated “Duke”, a miniature horse to the Parnell Park Zoo.
2011 Raised funds, designed and installed the Whittier Police Memorial in front of Police Station.
2012 Installed new floor at the Whittier Community Center Theatre.
