  • Registration includes race bib mailed within a few days after registration.
  • Your medal mailed out after your post your time.
  • Team registrations, for every 5 registrations you get a raffle ticket for a grand prize.


Email by 9am 10/31 costume photo with bib # to:

  • Prize money for the costume contest - Adult
  • Prize gift card for the costume contest - kids
  • Whole month to send in costume contest photo.


  • Post a picture with your bib and the time you finished the race.
  • You have the whole month of October to run the race.


Whittier's Virtual Spooktacular 5K Run/Walk, promotes fitness for all ages.. The event is Co-Sponsored by the Whittier Community Foundation and the Whittier Host Lions Club. The race will feature a Halloween costume, we ask that if you are running take a photo with bib and costume post it and add the hashtag #whittier5K

Who We Are

Founded in 2005 to raise funds that will be used to educate, inspire and advance the community for the greatest common good.


What We've Done

Projects include the miniature horse at the Parnell Park Zoo, the Whittier Police Memorial & currently the Greenway Trail Fitness Project.



Our fundraisers include Police Memorial Campaign, Whittier Spooktacular 5K and Dancing with the Whittier Stars and others!

The Whittier Community Foundation was created in 2005 with a mission to support community services activities from the education and enjoyment of the greater Whittier community.

We raise funds year-round through special events such as Dancing with the Whittier Stars, the Spooktacular 5K Walk/Run and our newest fundraiser the Boots, Beer & BBQ at the Quad. We have formed valuable relationships with organizations including the Whittier Host Lions Club and PIH Health as well as businesses and individuals.

To date, we have raised over $700,000 through private donations, grants, and fundraisers. We are proud to have given back to our community in the following ways:
